What to Keep After a Pet Passes: A Small Keepsake, Not a Full Urn

AVIMO Memory Keepsake Box - book-shaped pet memorial keepsake set

A full urn is a lot to have in the house. Some people want that. A lot of people don't. They want something smaller, something they can keep on a shelf without it taking over the room.

A keepsake set is for that smaller thing. Not all the ashes. Just a little.

The AVIMO Keepsake Book, also called Life Book, is $39.99. First, it is not a book you write in. It is a box shaped like a book, 5.5 × 8.5 × 2 inches. Second, it is not a full urn. If you need a place for all of a pet's ashes, use a full urn, like AVIMO's PLA urn for pets up to 65 lbs. This one is for the small part you want close by.

It is a box shaped like a book, on purpose. Dark cover, gold lettering, thick enough to sit on a shelf next to other books. It looks a bit like a Bible, and that is the point — something you keep, not something you throw away. But it is not a Bible, and it is not a book you read. Open it, and inside is a photo, a paw print, and a small keepsake portion.

Inside, you get a 15 ml jar for a small portion of ashes, an 8 ml vial for fur, baby teeth, or a tiny bit of ashes, clay for a paw print, and a Forever card.

The personal part is in how you put it together. Open the box, put a photo on the left side inside. On the cover, take the two UV sticker sheets, cut one to the shape of your own pet's head, and stick it on. It will not look like a stock pet. It will look like yours.

That is the whole idea. A photo, a paw print, a little fur, a little ashes, all in one book-shaped box you can actually leave out.
